Colombia has issued three dollar bonds totalling US$4.95 billion, the largest foreign debt issuance in its history with orders reaching US$23.2 billion.

The three bonds issued will mature in 2029, 2031, and 2033 with the largest (2029) in an amount of US$2bn with a coupon rate of 5.37%. The remaining two tranches, maturing in 2031 and 2033, totalled US$1.47bn each, with coupon rates of 6.12% and 6.50%, respectively.

The Ministry of Finance said that the issuance looks to meet the financing needs of 2026 and to improve the maturity structure of public debt.
